Located 350 kilometers northeast of Addis Ababa, Yangudi Rassa National Park is a vast and arid wilderness, spanning 2,700 square kilometers. Situated in the northern rift lowlands, the park is traversed by the Awash River, creating a diverse and dramatic landscape.
A Haven for Unique Wildlife
Yangudi Rassa National Park is renowned for its unique and fascinating wildlife. The park is home to the Somali wild ass, an ancestor of the domestic donkey, as well as other species typical of the arid Horn of Africa, including Gravy’s zebras, greater and lesser kudus, gerenuk, and cheetahs.
