Starting Point: Addis Ababa or Gondar

Early Afternoon: Arrive at Debark, the gateway to the Simien Mountains. After obtaining the necessary permits, meet your experienced local guide and begin your ascent into the park. Drive to Buit Ras, the starting point for your trek, where you’ll be greeted by panoramic views of the escarpment.

Trek to Chilkuwanit: Begin your hike through the park’s unique ecosystem, home to a diverse array of wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for troops of Gelada baboons, their distinctive red manes contrasting with the surrounding landscape.
