Morning: Fly from Addis Ababa to Jinka, the gateway to the Omo Valley.
Afternoon: Drive to Turmi, a bustling town known for its vibrant markets and colorful festivals. Explore Keyafer market on Thursdays, Alduba (Demeka) market on Tuesdays, or the Monday market in Turmi.
Evening: Witness the extraordinary bull-jumping ceremony of the Hamer people, a captivating tradition that involves a series of challenges and celebrations.
Morning: Embark on a day trip to Omorate, home to the Dassenech people. Cross the Omo River by boat and visit a local Dassenech village to experience their unique culture.
Afternoon: Return to Turmi and visit a local Hamer village. If you missed the bull-jumping ceremony the previous day, there’s still a chance to witness this fascinating tradition.
Evening: Drive to Jinka, a charming town with a vibrant atmosphere.
Morning: Drive through Mago National Park to a Mursi village, renowned for their distinctive lip and earlobe plates.
Afternoon: Return to Jinka for lunch and then head to the airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa.
